Welcome to Arcus! This guide will help you get started with AI governance and EU AI Act compliance in just 5 minutes.
Step 1: Create Your Organization
After signing up, you'll be prompted to create your organization. This is where all your AI systems and compliance data will be stored.
- Enter your organization name
- Select your primary industry
- Choose your organization size
- Set your jurisdiction (this determines which regulations apply)
Step 2: Register Your First AI System
Now it's time to add your first AI system:
- Navigate to AI Systems in the sidebar
- Click Register New System
- Fill in the system details:
- System name and description
- Purpose and use case
- User groups and data types
- Deployment status
The more detail you provide, the more accurate the AI classification will be.
Step 3: Get Your Classification
Once you've registered your system:
- Arcus will automatically analyze your system description
- Using Claude AI, it determines the risk classification under the EU AI Act
- You'll receive:
- Risk level (Unacceptable, High-Risk, Limited Risk, or Minimal Risk)
- Applicable articles from the EU AI Act
- Compliance requirements
- Confidence score
Classifications typically take 10-30 seconds.
Step 4: Review Compliance Requirements
Based on your classification, Arcus shows you:
- Required documentation you need to create
- Remediation tasks to become compliant
- Deadlines for compliance (EU AI Act enforcement timeline)
- Recommendations for improving your system
Step 5: Generate Documentation
For high-risk systems, you need technical documentation:
- Go to your system detail page
- Click Generate Documentation
- Arcus creates EU AI Act compliant technical documentation
- Review and download as PDF or Word
